About DUSupra

DUSupra, otherwise known as Daniel Urueta, is a 23 year old Mexican-Salvadorian American music producer and mixing engineer from Los Angeles, California. Ever since he was a child he loved experimenting with keyboards and pianos and always sang his heart out to music he heard all over the radio. Music has been his emotional anchor for as long as he can remember, leading him to chase it through life. After Daniel graduated highschool, he decided to begin his college experience studying a course called sound art. From then on, his passion for music production and later music mixing has sprung forward immensely.

Main Influences
& Inspirations

Creative Sound Maker

Being from L.A., he has had a multitude of different influences musically as, in his opinion, some of the greatest music comes from the west coast. People like Kendrick Lamar, Tyler the Creator, Billie Eilish and Finneas, NWA, etc. are all west coast artists that come from L.A. and spread the culture through their music. Although he does take immense inspiration from many other artists that are not just from L.A. such as Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino, Logic, Daniel Caesar, etc. His favorite producer and biggest inspiration in terms of music production specifically would have to be Jon Bellion. Daniel has made a range of different genres of music, but his main focus musically is Hip-hop and rap. That is not to say he doesn’t work on other genres such as House, RnB, Trap, etc.

Daniel began his music production journey in 2020 during the COVID pandemic as he had the time to learn a new skill. He found his passion at one of the lowest points of his life and it allowed him to find a new purpose for his life. During 2020, Daniel enrolled in many different sound engineering and music production classes at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, California. There he learned the basics and became proficient with a couple digital audio workstations such as Logic Pro X and Pro Tools. He invested in gear that he could afford at the time that allowed him to not only learn at school, but also practice and learn at his own pace, on his own time. He created a small home studio to allow him to work on music using more professional gear such as a Scarlett interface and JBL monitor speakers. This home studio would allow him to create some of his favorite musical pieces as of today and continue improving.

After a couple years, he decided to follow one of his dreams and applied to schools in England and eventually decided to enroll at the University of Huddersfield studying sound engineering and music production. There he found a new passion alongside music production. He became a huge fan of music mixing and is practicing becoming a mixing engineer. He has since used professional studios to mix and produce his music and songs. Not only is he using the high quality equipment, but he is getting the feedback from industry professionals that lecture at his school. He is expected to graduate in 2026 with a Bachelors of Science.

Looking to the Future

Daniel loves being a music producer and hopes to one day produce and mix for big name artists, but one of his all time goals is to compose, mix and/or engineer a project for one of his favorite companies ever, Star Wars. From the music composed by John Williams on the first Star Wars movie to the music composed by Ludwig Göransson on The Mandalorian, Daniel has always watched and listened in awe of the pure magic and power music has paired with picture. Looking towards the future he sets his mind on moving back to Los Angeles, getting a job in a professional music studio engineering and getting some experience under his belt. One day Daniel hopes to build his own studio and receive clients such as other producers, artists, etc. and hopefully teach a new generation the magic of music, but for now he will work towards becoming the best producer and mixing engineer he can be.

Not only is his music his greatest passion, but his love and admiration for his family and friends are the driving force behind what he does and how he continues to strive to become better. Daniel's love and persuance of music could not be possible without the people around him who coninuously support his dreams and aspirations. Being a hispanic man from Los Angeles, where there are a million artists and stars born every day, it may seem like a dream, but with the support of those that love him, he works everyday to show everyone around him that is possible and hopefully one day can inspire a new generation of artists and producers that it is possible for people like him to succeed in such a competitive field. Daniel has constantly been inspired by his other artists, friends and family to not just be a good artist, but to be a good person
